Peaceful Bay is located approximately 45km west of Denmark, past William Bay National Park, and left at Bow Bridge, or 30k east of Walpole.
Peaceful Bay is just that, peaceful!
Perfect for swimming & snorkelling, kite surfing & enjoying the spectacular coastline which overlooks William Bay National Park from the western end (the opposite side than Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks).
There is a privately owned "Peaceful Bay Caravan Park" which provides powered and un-powered sites close to the beach and boat launching areas of Peaceful Bay.
Peaceful Bay is a popular swimming beach, and there is a lovely walk along the shore to the Irwin Inlet where you can watch the waterbirds.
The Bibbulmun Track winds past Peaceful Bay on it's way from Albany to Perth. There are many coastal walking trails and long stretches of beach.
Peaceful Bay Beach stretches north-east towrds the Quarram Nature Reserve and you can walk along Peaceful Bay Beach until the Irwin Inlet splits the beach from the Nature Reserve.
Accessible on foot or with a 4wd vehicle, Peaceful Bay is a popular holiday destination along the south coast located between Denmark and Walpole.
Because it is further out than many other beaches in Denmark you tend to get less visitors here than elsewhere along the Denmark coast.
Always Remember, the Great Southern Ocean coastline is prone to surges, so be extremely aware when climbing, driving or walking close to the waterline.
The nearby beaches of Consipcuous Cliff & Conspicuous Cliff Beach to the west in Walpole-Nornalup National Park are worth a visit. The more distant beaches of Greens Pool and Elephant Cove in William Bay National Park are the closest safe-swimming beaches as they're protected by large rocks out to sea and have been declared safe for swimming.
However, always take care and be aware when near the great southern ocean. Large waves are common. Your safety is your responsibility.
Access:
Drive WEST from Denmark, past William Bay NP, until BOW BRIDGE. Turn LEFT on Peaceful Bay Road, drive to the end.
